Naturally in Love

I remember the first time I saw you. Small and confined, yet bold in style. I remember the first time I touched you, refreshing, and proud.
You were mine, all mines...all natural. I awaited your arrival for 8 months, and once you were here...I loved you at first sight. Though some looked at you with delight and amazement, others were less intrigued.

Over time I have watched you grow, blossom into more than I could have ever imagined. You have made me proud. Now when you enter the room, you demand attention and respect. You are constantly the topic of discussion and the reason for strangers becoming friends instantly. I love the fact that you are such a free spirit and never let anything get you down, you stand strong and bounce back from any and every hindrance. You my lovely curls...have made me happy!

~I love my God given natural curls. I had no idea that going natural would feel so good. I don't know what it feels like to have a bad hair day anymore. I have good hair days, better hair days, and even great hair days. How do you feel about your hair?

  1. I am really coming into my natural hair. At first I transitioned into natural hair by wearing braids and sew-ins cutting off my relaxed hair little by little and after I eventually got tired of the two textures I chopped off the remainder of my relaxed hair. I grew tired of hiding my hair through braids so i started wearing my hair out in twist outs, braid outs, and anything else i felt like doing to my hair. My hair is SUPER healthly and thick and I am loving it! I guess being brain-washed all those years about having straight hair has left my system because I LOVE my natural hair and I believe that I have "good hair"!

  2. It is such a great feeling. Your hair stands out; it's not easily achieved by everyone. I love when people come up to me and tell me they like my hair and then ask me what I use to achieve the look. It feels good to not have to worry about the wind blowing my hair or the rain messing my hair up...ahhhh. LOL
