The question is do you have any regrets about being/going natural? Have you thrown out all things relaxer related? Let us know how you feel when it comes to those products. The journey to chemical free hair isn't always easy, but once you get there...you will feel relief. Love, peace, and no more hair grease!
I am absolutely in love with my newly big chopped, natural hair. Today marks 1 week of being natural, yet it feels sooooooo...natural! Like my hair is how it always should have been. I have long since thrown away all relaxing products. I now use relaxer application brushes (threw away the old one for fear of any residule relaxer on it) to apply deep conditioning treatments to my tresses from root to tip! I'm a lifer...no more relaxer for me...EVER!
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't hard for me to step away from the creamy crack because my hair was never as healthy as it is now that I am natural. I never really learned healthy hair care practices when I was relaxed and as a result my hair would grow then I'd get a relaxer and it would break off again. It was a merciless cycle and I thought to myself after I had a huge bald hole in my head the size of a tennis ball that the relaxer was the culprit and it wasn't worth it anymore. My hair has grown faster than I've ever known my whole life and I know I made the right decision.
ReplyDeleteBut to answer the question I don't have anything anymore tied to my relaxed life. If anything it would just serve as a reminder about how jacked my hair was and how I don't want to go back there again.
